He dresses conservatively, mostly seen in business shirts and ties. |

| Dr. James Wilson is the Head of Oncology at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. His best friend is world-renowned Diagnostician, Dr. Gregory House. Although many people have wondered if Wilson and House are involved in some sort of secret relationship, neither man has indicated an interest in each other beyond a somewhat questionable friendship. House is Wilson’s only real friend and because of this, over the years, Wilson has come to fall into traps harboured from a fear of losing his friend. House always seems to land on his feet, while Wilson is left to pick up the pieces around them. Growing up in a Jewish family, Wilson had an ambition to have a wife, kids, good job, white picket fence. It never worked out that way. After surviving three failed marriages (two of which dissolved due to his own infidelity), Wilson is now at a loss as to life in general. An enabler by nature, he finds it easier to analyse House’s life than his own. But analysing House was never an easy task, let alone getting the sarcastic cane-wielding Diagnostician to see reason. After the breakdown of his third marriage, Wilson turned to House. He didn’t like to admit he went looking for support because he had known all along it would be offered, but he needed something. A place to stay, for starters. Things didn’t eventuate smoothly, however. House decided he couldn’t live with Wilson and Wilson ended up moving into a hotel, where he remained for close to a year. Wilson harbours a ‘need to be needed’. It makes him highly successful in his job, with House indicating in the past that he can “hear Wilson caring”. It’s this yearn to be needed that underlies his friendship with House. Wilson believes House needs protecting from himself, and he’s become comfortable in the situation and in a rut of relying on House. House believes that Wilson’s failed marriages are a result of Wilson’s need to “fix” vulnerable women he meets. When they become well-adjusted, Wilson becomes discontent and moves on. Wilson, on the other hand, just thinks he’s terrible at marriage. Wilson suffers depression and is on medication for the condition. He hasn’t revealed to anyone the source of the depression, though not through lack of House trying to wheedle the information from him. Wilson currently lives alone in a small one bedroom apartment and is stuck in a monotonous life pattern that simple revolves around going to work and being House’s conscience. |

| 1) verse: canon (episodic) In this verse, Wilson will be strictly canon and any prompts written will stem from events occuring in the episodes of House, M.D. spanning the entirety of Seasons 1 to 5. The Wilson written in this verse is stemmed from soley canon events. The episode Wilson is referring to in any responses within this verse will be noted accordingly. 2) verse: fandom This verse deviates from House, M.D. canon events after approximately House, M.D. episode 4x10 "It's a Wonderful Lie". Wilson never started to date Amber and instead found an interest in Oncology nurse Evie Miller ( ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} imnodoctor). For obvious reasons, the episodes following this did not occur in his universe, hence the events of the finale are not part of his background. He is linked to various other House, M.D. muses in circulation and has been involved in some plots with them. Both Wilsons are available for roleplay, but please specify which you would prefer to interact with if you get in touch for RP purpose. He is also open to explore other verses if the desire so hits and he is desperately looking for a House to regularly interact with. |
